Sandy Medway
In 1996, aged 41, Sandy Medway went in search of career advice during a crossroads in her life. Because there was no practical help for people already in work and very limited help for the unemployed she became very concerned.
As a Christian she was able to pray and ask advice from a number of friends whilst researching her options. She came to realise that without this support she would be struggling and that others might benefit from the journey she had been on.
Sandy then sought God earnestly in prayer about what she should do with the rest of her life. "Go and tell people they matter" was the whisper she heard.
The rest they say is history...and People Matter was born.
My prayer is that the volunteers at People Matter will help those feeling bewildered by the job marketplace, and that the advice and practical help available will enable people to go on and find a job that is meaningful and rewarding.
God does care for each one of us if we only let him...
Sandy is still involved with People Matter as a Trustee and you can click here to contact her by email.
